Change History

Although they're very secondary to my Pedro's Board experience, I've lately been using avatars and signatures. For the most part I've used them in context with the particular thread. Of course, when I change either of these, it affects the other messages in anyother thread. s. Is it possible to have it so they are only in the original message as posted? Is there a Control Center setting that I'm not utilizing?
