URL corruption on link posting

[sites.google.com] can not get added as a link with its full address though I'm sure it works in other s/w. can't be copied in tto a message as text either without the bracket before the % and the truncated link look.

I've been backlogged on work lately. My impression is that links sometimes work better when simply pasted in as opposed to using the button on the toolbar but it is indeed a problem that needs to be fixed.

In the case of this URL, I did paste it in the message text, it got turned into the same partial URL as if I had used the button on the toolbar.

I'm not trying to impose any urgency by posting this additional info, just trying to add info to the problem report than may turn useful.
