I can't stand the float function .. PPBB had a toggle to do on / off
can that follow too?

If you're referring to the hover preview, you can turn it off.

Control Center -> Forum settings -> Disable the post previews -> On

I was referring to the ordering of threads.
The most recent version of PPBB had a toggle on/off it was entitled "floating"

Currently the last thread updated with a reply floats to the top even if the thread was started a week ago it is the first one you see. It ruins the order of posts. The 'Floating Off' option on PPBB stopped the float.
