It varies. My first experience with heated seats came in an '83 Saab Turbo. I didn't know it had heated seats and because they came on automatically, there was no switch on the dash or console to indicate they were present.
They activated for the first time on a cool morning when I was already late for work. It suddenly felt like I had just wet myself.

... only 29 F in Weston.
We even had some patchy frost.
But it warmed up quickly, it's now in the 60s, tomorrow will be in the 70s and friday it may hit 80.
