Let's start with the good news. I went to my neighbor's shop for a formal NJ state inspection. A miracle occurred: it passed immediately.

Then the car gods got me back. It began pissing power steering fluid from somewhere we cant find int he rear (probably hose connections to pump), and , while figuring that out, it began peeing red (coolant) on the floor from the front, near the LF radiator. Uggg.

More amazingly, the coolant stopped and i managed to get home with no issues. Gene! trailer!

But car runs great so far, so these annoyances will be fixed.

Yippee on inspection.

1. bad seal (old plastic..) between power steering reservoir and pump. New reservoir seems to have fixed. time will tell.

2. broken plastic plug/stopcock in (plastic part of) center radiator. Since radiator was also old and fins damaged, and removal would have been time consuming and dicey (old, brittle plastic), a new one was ordered (surprisingly cheaply).
