My buddy (and just maybe be soon to be my former buddy if I can't fix it) while attempting to get the seat belt around his 6"8" frame screwed it up and it is now fully extended and won't retract. Car is '02 (tall friend is 1941). If anybody knows how I can get it back in I'd appreciate hearing about it.
It is presently fully extended and when I pull on it attempting to get it to rewind, it let's me have a small amount of belt and then clicks and locks up without the rewind ever starting. Thanks in advance for your help. Tom
... remove the seatbelt assembly trim piece to access the recoil.
What happened was that it was extended to the limit and is locked in the last click.
You need to extend it that last bit and with a screwdriver push the click stop so that it allows the belt to retract,
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro
