Almost 16 years ago, my original engine was replaced under warranty due to repeated RMS leaks. The new engine has been great so far. NO leaks to speak of - see earlier post.
The engine was replaced in Jun 2004. The serial number is M96/22A T65Y65014
Is there any way to get details on that specific engine. Most particularly, what IMSB type is in there?
Any other details we can discern? I am wondering if it was new or reman? I thought all reman had an X in the number somewhere?
Oh, I had 23K on the original engine when replaced. I now have just about 79K on the car - so 55K on the new engine. Time to start thinking about long term maintenance issues. (And also drive the car more)
