To set the record straight...
Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Thursday, 17 May, 2012, at 8:16:49 pm
... I had a very nasty household accident last week and was admitted to the hospital.
The good news is that I am now back home where I expect a full recovery, albeit somewhat long.
Im nursing 8 broken ribs and 4 cracked vertebrae.
Doctors tell me full recover is about 12 weeks away.
Im taking some strong pain meds therefore Im not posting much.
For those that had already knew thank you for the well wishes.
Ill try to be back full-time as fast as I can.
Happy Porscheing
Pedro

Long term, get checked regularly for ruptured discs.
Laz - Thursday, 17 May, 2012, at 9:13:33 pm
In 1980 I flipped my Alfa and I landed outside the car. Rare situation where not wearing a seatbelt probably saved me from being beheaded. Years later I developed severe sciatica and xrays showed that one vertibra had cracked and healed ever so slightly offset, probably causing the adjacent discs to swell and eventually rupture.

When I was 10, I got appendicitis and didn't get to the hospital until after it ruptured. So I'm in there for a week, and they insisted on turning on "Rowan and Martin's Laugn-In" on like the first evening after surgery. A-ha OWWWW! A-ha OWWWWW!

But your incident sounds like no laughing matter. Get better quick!

Pedro,

Sorry to hear of your accident. You may recall I came to BRBS two years ago with a herniated disk and L4/L5 nerve root damage. I don't recommend it. Missy had to do all the driving - up, there, and back.

Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.
