Best wishes for minimal discomfort

I'm doing good, considering.
The Dr. told me that I'd have full recovery at 12 weeks.
It's been 13 weeks, all the bones have healed, but there's still quite a bit of lingering aches and pains.
I'm not complaining, mind you, 'cause it certainly beats the alternative!

Funny that you said "... beats the alternative!" For the past few years I've been telling people who say about themselves, "I'm getting old" to consider the alternative. Sometimes it takes a moment to sink in. "Observations" are often mistakenly perceived as "complaints" by people who do a lot of the latter.

Anytime I'm feeling "old" and creaky, I recite two saying that were taught to me long ago:

1. Any day I wake up on the right side of the grass is a good day

2. In golf, a dry ball is a happy ball!

If you show up at BRBS next year and have half as much fun as your flat self did this year, it will be a good day.

There are a lot of people around the world with good wishes for you.

It's good to hear that your mending is going in the right direction.

I know that a lot of people get caught up in having a lot of "stuff".

I'm happy when I get up in the morning and everything works. To many people take that for granted. Best to appreciate it and use it while we can.
