Outside Temperature Indicator Sensor

I'm getting an error on my outside temperature indicator. I checked in the front bumper and the sensor was dislodged from the bumper and flopping around. I could reinsert it to the bumper, but I'm still getting the error on the dash display. Is there possibly something that needs to be "reset" somewhere? I don't find anything in my manuals stating so. If the sensor needs to be replaced, does anyone have any idea of the cost of the part? Thanks.

... Ambient Temperature Sensor (996.641.142.00) and MSRP is $19.40.
Check to see if when you wiggle the wires it reads the temp. It may be a broken wire from flapping around in the wind.
