After 10 long days on the water and 7 days from the port to the dealer I picked the car up yesterday. Probably won't get to drive it much today as it's suppose to rain most of the day. Here are a few pics I took after I got her to home:

Was planning on driving up to Hendersonville for lunch but the rain spoiled the plans.

I saw one driving on city streets the other day and it looks even better rolling than standing still.

It's a beauty, Jim. A 981 in the original Porsche colour.

Any more pictures of the interior? Is it Platinum Grey?

It is Platinum Gray. Very few options. Convenience package, ventilated seats, heated seats,colored wheel crest, power steering plus, clear side markers, and 19 rims. Sticker was $55,075.

How do you like the throws on the manual?

The 981 6 sp is the best Porsche manuel I have driven. Haven't driven a 987. Throws are shorter and smoother than the 6 sp in my 997. Also with the 997 it was hard to get into 1st some of the time. The 981 is silkly smooth.

With your report on the smooth and short shifts, G-Man is "all systems go!".

The vents along the top of the dash - is the entire slatted area functional, or just the lower part with the adjustable louvers?

if you get reflection from the lighter than black dash. I recall owning a VW where they only produced the dash is black to keep the reflection down.

I'm thinking if the dash-top slats are non-functioning, there may be an opportunity for Eric to design some 'dash plugs'.

Beautiful absolutely! Mine was to be Silver as well but wife said no more silver Porsches! Can you believe that? So mine(ours) will be dark blue metallic. With a six speed I might add. I am concerned about the reflection in the windshield though since the interior will be Luxor Beige. It may require a dash topper of some sort although I would rather not. Congrats again!
