But the car rev-matches for him so there's no wheel speed differential to worry about.
When I've driven PDK-equipped Boxsters and Caymans at Sebring, this happens at several turns when I leave it in AUTO mode.
But it really is a good thing, because if you have slowed down to take the turn, you really can benefit from a lower gear to get you out quicker.

and the photog were in the car on some circuit and pushing hard and the PDK shifted right in the middle of a turn. But the shift was so smooth that the car was no upset in the least and the proper gear was selected. The driver and photog turned to each other as both with the same amazed look.
