Any tips on replacing hood latch locking servo?
Jayusa123 - Friday, 15 February, 2013, at 7:22:23 pm
When my immobilizer took a swim and malfunctioned, it ruined the locking servo (actuator) next to the driver's seat. The one that locks the front and rear trunk "opener" handles when you set the alarm. I have a new one on the way and I'm trying to figure out how the heck I'll get in there. I can't seem to find anything in the Bentley manual. I know I can remove the handles by simply loosening the three hex key screws and disengaging the control cables; however, I don't see how I can actually remove the housing in which the actuator is located. There are a couple screws but it looks like I'll have to remove the entire carpet in order to get the piece out. The PET doesn't seem to provide all that much clarification as to how the whole thing is put together. (or more importantly, taken apart.)

Has anyone replaced theirs? Any tips?

Thanks!
Jay
Apparently. I have never touched it. Or seen it. *NM*
