I looked for some previous posting on this failure, but didn't find it. My car is an '02 and it appears, based on what I see from friend's cars that eleven years is about the shelf life for this display. I believe the display module can be replaced. Does anybody have information on this????

You can buy a replacement kit here: [modulemaster.com]. Instructions are very clear. Takes about 45 minutes. Very easy to do.
