Unexpected surprise
Guenter in Ontario - Wednesday, 20 November, 2013, at 9:07:30 pm
Had a package arrive in the mail today. Didn't remember ordering anything. ...hmmmmm it's from Porsche Canada. So what's inside?

Opened it up and found.

Bottom right envelope contained a letter and this gas card from Petro Canada (only gas company in Canada that sells 94 octane gas) (500 L - about 130 gal.)

Black folder contained.

Bottom left box, contained this solid brushed aluminum pylone (about 4" high) with my name, model and VIN engraved on it.

Top left box, contained a hard cover book I'm looking forward to reading through.

First two pages:

Thanks Porsche Canada and Petro Canada

Good for you, Guenter

Actually, it's 10/L off on 500L (roughly $0.40/gal on 130 gal.) of fuel. Noticed after that I hadn't made that clear - still worth $50 which at Canadian prices is about 2/3 of a tank of 94 octane. We never used to get goodies like these here in Canada (at least I didn't)

I really liked the personalized pylon and Certificate of Authenticity. Shows some planning to hand out a personalized thank you.
It's still a good deal smiling smiley. *NM*

I received a package about a month ago. About the same size, it contained the same book ...... and a pen.

I think I'd prefer the fancy pylone.

Congrats Guenter!!!

Is it a Porsche pen? Does it match the colour of your car?

Here's the pylon on my desk. Kinda fits right in.

It doesn't match the color

The surprise inside:

The 3 books I received:

My $70K pen, and a card that has my name and VIN# on it:

The pen does say "Boxster" on it smiling smiley :
Cool. I like the Boxster pen.

The Porsche Principle book has a nice history of Porsche, along with a picture of a very young Ferdinand Porsche that I'd never seen before.

Agree about the packaging. They do that very well. Makes you want to keep the box, along with the contents.
Re: Unexpected surprise...wow, I'm going to have to open mine..

been sitting here on my desk since June...

waiting makes the heart grow fonder.
Considering the size of box mine came in, you must have a pretty good sized desk.

Very nice! I still get stuff from them in the mail - they have a good marketing department.
Pretty cool, particularly given that you single-handedly wore out Porsche's 981 'build you own' software. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

And here I thought when you and Michelle took me to the Petrocan station for 94 octane last month, you were simply helping a friend get some of the 'good stuff' in his tank. I guess those security cams are a handy way of assessing customer loyalty. winking smiley

Life is good.

I was hoping you wouldn't notice the "security" cams.

.....figure if I bring in a new customer every other week, I'll never have to pay for gas again. winking smiley
C'est magnifique! *NM*
