That's pretty strong language. You're hardy a hacker; in fact, Grant, with your 986 racer building experience, you've graduated well beyond 'shade-tree mechanic' .smiling smiley

Your new old computer may have a virus or malware which triggered the message.
Its clearly in the board server's display. It doesn't like the browser apparently (iCab 4.9) ro somesuch.

needs to be fixed.

Grant,

That suggests that your browser is caching (localy storing for faster accces) the form for posting on the board, if you have used it in the past and didn't for a while, you probably are pushing the information you want to post in a format unacceptable by the server.

I bet that if you clear your browser cache and cookies, you will have fix your problem.
I really dont have time to go into detail, but doubtful

Brand new clean install of OS to be used as server. Brand new install of browser never used before on that machine. No cache can exist, because it never did anything on PB before *to* cache.

First time logging into PB - logged in fine, posted, got that. Ergo I believe its a bug somewhere between icab and PB. And icab is abotu the most standards-based browser out there....

there can be no cache record of an action that never occurred before.

Not sure how technical you are
Boxsterra - Saturday, 11 January, 2014, at 10:51:06 pm
But almost every request for a web page consists of tens of actual roundtrip requests between the browser and the server. If any of several things change between the first and last request, this problem can happen.
I have seen web traces and used - for example - optimization on older wireless networks. So i'm familiar with the potentially long series of back-and-forth that makes up a web page display. But i dont work with web servers regularly...

Just for laughs i cleared the cache.

Made no difference.

FYI - i am also logged out coincident with posting. Its not a huge deal for me, but i would think you'd like to know this is happening.

If I get more complaints then I'll dig into the logs and see if I can figure out what's going on.
ADMIN! - Try clearing your cache and retry *NM*

There is no cache history, there is no history.

Wow, that sounds kind of nihilistic. *NM*
