Does the base 2009 Cayman have the new 9A1 engine?

As per the subject. My son is looking at used Caymans and we aren't sure if the base Cayman got the new engine architecture. As far as we can tell it did not get the DFI.

No DFI, but the 2.9l motor doesn't have an IMS.

New front and rear bumper covers, larger outside mirrors some changes in interior trim colours and engine changes - none IMS for Boxster/Cayman, non IMS and DFI for the S.
