Porsches atop Mount Evans
Laz - Sunday, 23 January, 2011, at 11:24:49 am
Yesterday while using Google Earth I explored some of the places I've driven to, including Mount Evans, Colorado. It still has the highest paved road in North America at 14,240 feet. Lo and behold, the eye level views of the summit show some Porsches. I had been up there in '74 co-driving my friend's Volvo B18, and look forward to doing again someday. So, if you want to visit, paste in the coordinates and click on the camera icon. Turn the first eye level view 180º to see toward the summit.

Mine isn't one of the ones in the photo but it has been up there a couple of times over the years. Worth doing for anyone traveling through Colorado.

I rode a bicycle up that big ass hill... wish I had been in my Porsche!
That's some hill! Did you carry oxygen?

I did some running sprints on Mount Rainier, but I have to emphasize the word "sprints." And that was at about only 8,000 feet.
