Wow, old Dr. Ferdinand was quite the monster.

Let's see how my memory is, as I seem to think that I once read that Hitler had just been in power a short while (still legally the elected leader before grabbing power) when the VW and Auto union projects started. I also seem to remember from Ferry's book, that after the war an American officer came up with some SS papers. Ferry told them that he and his father had always refused to join political groups and asked to have the documentation checked. Upon review, it was established that one of Hitler's henchmen had signed Dr. Ing. Porsche's name and submitted the paperwork.

Never let facts get in the way of a good story. I hope that t least I got mine straight (all from memory). Tom
