Scuff Plate Replacedthumbs up Boxster 987S

One thing that has been driving me nuts when I enter the car in tight quarter is the inability to clear the scuff plate without scuffing the scuff plate.

Today I had some time to replace my scuff plate as I followed the process on the web...I just searched for "replace boxster scuff plate" ...I know ..ingenious.grinning smiley

It took about 2 hrs...... 1hr 55 min to find the 5MM allen keyangry smiley and 5 min to replace.smiling bouncing smiley

Sooo much better...now I will need to enter the car with microfiber socks.smiling smiley

... wet-sand it with 600 grit and paint with satin black paint for plastic.
Even better, paint it in high-gloss black (to match the exterior).
It'll be like new so you can reuse it when your microfiber socks start scratching the new piece.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna
Mike, your car would even match these.
