Seems like I'm seeing part price anywhere from approx $200 - $400.
Including coolant system inspection and bleeding.

Though for an experienced mechanic it shouldn't take anywhere near that long.
I just paid $1,300 for a water pump replacement at my indie in Dublin, CA.using Porsche genuine parts. I had previously replaced the water pump with an oem water pump (a different shop in Santa Cruz) for about $650 about a year ago and it didn't last. Ouch.

... because the pump and gasket retails for just over $400.00.
You also have the labor involved in extracting the old coolant, removing the old pump and gasket, cleaning, inspecting, replacing the parts, and mixing/adding new coolant.
If the shop uses Porsche Coolant, that's another $100.00.
Or ... you can DIY.
here's how: [pedrosgarage.com]
