| Broken foot - missed my Boxster! marty - 9 years ago |
I fell through a garage roof eight weeks ago and fractured my heel - big ouch! Had four nights in hospital, but luckily avoided surgery. My Boxster has sat dejectedly on the drive gathering dust and the passing interest of pigeons!
Yesterday, having charged the battery I put my best foot forward and went for a spin round the block. Lord I've missed driving that car! Hearing the note change in third gear above 4000rpm... Pure man therapy.
It does hurt pressing the clutch but from mussels and tendons. I plan to build up slowly towards longer drives until I'm fully mended.
The attached photo is of me with my broken foot (playing banjo) and a retired Irish fire fighter friend, delivering audio torture to a pub audience!
