I agree. You never know, it might have left the factory as a black car and then the owner decided to paint it silver. I'm sure that's happened somewhere.

The Matra was designed by Volanis in 1973, the Gtv Was designed by Giugiaro in 1974, so it looks like the greatest car body designer ever (just wikipediate Giugiaro and you will see he designed the best Ferraris, Lambos, etc as well as some very mundane cars) was probably influenced by Volanis when he designed the GTV.

The best car i've had is an 82 GTV 6 . I got it for very little, it was a fairly rare car, only a few thousand were imported to the US and it was absolutely a blast to drive, well, once I learned how to double clutch rev match because the synchros were non existent, as they are on many Italian cars. I've never had more people come up to me to admire my car as I did when I had the Alfa.

By the way, I think the Matra is prettier than the GVT 6.
