Given how new the Z06 is, I'm thinking the driver was just getting trying to get a feel on how the car drove in the curves, but on the straight he walked away from the GT3 with a 100+HP advantage--as you would expect.

Would appreciate comments regarding how heat affects SC car's performance on the track, per the GT3 owner's opinion.
"A mile of highway will take you one mile. A mile of runway will take you anywhere."
Actually, the Z06's driver had the best (racing) line.
The GT3 was running the DE line.
Also, when the GT3 came onto the track (at the start of the video) it had cold tires while the Z06 was already on warm tires, yet he got caught.
No question in a straight line the Vette is faster, but can it brake and turn as good as a GT3?
Heat robs Corvettes of their top-end power. That used to be the case, but I think they figured it out for the new batch.
Happy Porscheing,
Pedro

PS: Gary, don't cancel your GT3. You' could be faster than most Boxsters winking smiley

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna

Pedro, you must be mistaken about Gary ordering a new GT3. He'd never drive anything without a MANual.

Lots of chewed up asphalt and open cracks. I would expect a much higher maintained road from a renowned track such as Sebring.
Have you noticed how there's the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Daytona but only the 12 Hours of Sebring?
That's because there ain't a racecar built that can last 13 hours at Sebring!
Neither can the pilot.
Happy Porscheing,
Pedro
