I was just chatting with a buddy at Verizon Wireless. hes a phone junkie, and has lot s of access to toys.

I had no idea he was in the car, on BT talking. It was dramatically better than any voice quality i have heard before from such a situation.

Turned out this was a 2 -year-old Plantronics Voyager. I am very likely to buy a newer Voyager HD soon, based on the testing he and i did.

I used 3 of my BT devices and got his feedback, and he used two.

Another good choice for little money, if you can find one, is a new old stock Cardo blah-800.

(who wishes the adapters for wired headsets to iphones didn't all suck)

What kind of car was he driving? That plays a big factor in the background noise.
I posted my praise of Plantronics on that thread you are referring to:

Pedros BT thread

But I recommended one of their cheapest.

i did some research, other than this board, I mean, and was advised to go with the Plantronics Legend, not the newer Edge.

Haven't done so yet, but probably will in coming months.

Some users found the Legend is no good in windy environments.

seems like the updated legend.
