When I purchased the car I immediately put plastic "weather tech" type inserts over the floor mats. The carpets were good when new and the bottom of the floor mats are still clean…. I have taken out the fiberglass floor inserts and mats 1-2 times since installing 15 yrs ago. Last time was probably at least 5 yrs ago. See photo of brown stain on passenger footwell carpet. Any idea of what this is? No stains on layer above the carpet…? Seems it could only wick from underneath… Anyone seen this before of have an idea of what it could be? Professional carpet cleaner could not get the stain out.
