Hello all,
I have a 2004 Boxster with 40000 miles purchased new.
I am having a very strong gas smell in cabin especially when I turn left or I live on a hill and pull into my garage.
I was just wondering if anyone has had similar problem.
Thanks for any advise.

... there must be a leak somewhere.
The items to check:
Gas cap in place?
Evaporative canister valve (inside right fender)
Gas tank gasket (under battery tray)
Fuel injector rails (top of engine next to plenum)
Fuel lines (run from gas tank to engine underneath car)
Check it or get it checked ASAP.
Happy Boxstering
Pedro

Would there be a filter to check? Aren't they usually plastic and might crack?
covered the possible sources of the leak pretty thoroughly.

Best to get the car in pronto and get this sorted. In its current condition the car is a good candidate to catch fire.
If the gas fumes are really strong, all it takes is a spark or open flame nearby and your car could go up in flames pretty quickly.
