Hey guys. I just busted my 2002 Boxster (63K) out of storage here in Chicago and I'm very concerned to be smelling an electrical burn smell coming from near the driver's rear tire and/or the air intake. I'm confident it isn't brakes, because the smell begins even if I just drive the care carefully around the block. No warning or CEL lights on the dash. The only other thing I notice is a slight bump every couple seconds in the engine at idle.

I fear there could be many reasons this is happening, but thought I'd post it here in the event one of you might have some insights. Many thanks!

Is it possible that some rodents got into your storage space?
