12v battery type to pop front trunk through fuse C3

Based on Mike Focke's info and the fourth method (official Porsche TS at [sites.google.com]

Can anyone advise if I need a full size 12V car battery or a small hobby type 12v battery will do?

I guess it may just be easier to make jump leads to the full size battery in the other car that is going to have to jump the car eventually anyway?

.. that the battery (dead presumably) is still connected in your car, and therefore presents a low impedance load, at maybe 8V or less, to whatever is applied. So a lantern batter will likely not do the trick. Never tried it though.
