I realize being 'warm' is a subjective thing (as is whether someone has departed reality) but for top down driving, windows up (I guess) how is the Box pax comfort for driving with evening OATs in the 40s? ... 50s?

If you have heated seats, you can enjoy topless driving even in the 30's. On a crisp sunny day, with the leaves changing colour, put on a sweatshirt and you'll have a serious case of Permagrin.

Heat on wafting over me. Both cars I did it in had no heated seats. (914 and Alfa). In the Boxsters, the worry was always the top cracking pre-2003. If I had a glass window, I would have.

Yes, if you went fast enough in the 914 not even rain would touch you, which is why it was good to be doing that in wide-open TX.

Maybe I should have conditioned the question further by adding .. the significant other is in the car, she's fond of creature comforts and you've made the mistake of showing her how to raise the top.
