Hi folks - have noticed that the horn on my 2000 Boxster - the button engagement is become very sensitive. So much so that the slightest touch of the top left of the airbag area, activates the horn - so I have to be real careful not to rest my hands on the inside of the wheel anywhere.

I saw some other recent posts on this forum about the horn honking when braking - mine hasn't done that yet. Are both conditions symptomatic of the same root cause? And fix the same? Is this a repair that can be done safely w/o impacting the workings of the airbag?
thanks for sharing
I had the problem with the horn blowing when braking but it was also very sensitive to the touching of the air bag. So I would say the same fix is required to install 4 #31 orings on the 4 corners of the airbag support plate under the airbag. If you look for a YouTube video of the problem there is A very good description on how to do the fix.
