If you read the WSJ , the Offical response from VW is that the EPA is doing this to protect the US auto industry. Really.
You have to wonder who is advisinng them on P.R. ?
Even if VW is correct ,getting into a public spat with the EPA is mad. They are like the IRS.They nailed Capone.
Just fess up,cooperate and fix it ? And maybe save the company ?
Now every metric by which Govt has oversight (NHTSA ,Consumer Affairs etc ) will have their focus on VW.
And now it seems there are problems with CO2 on their gas engines....
Can it get worse?
Yes - the replacement CEO -to clean up the VW mess is from Porsche. And now it seems Porsche was just as involved as VW/Audi.
Puts the whole IMSB Class Action into trivial perspective?
