Celebrating 10 years of PedrosBoard!

Expect the best, and accept no substitute.

Products for your Boxster, Cayman and Carrera.
As some of you may know, for the past 5 years I've been testing my Boxster's used oil before the annual winter storage oil change. The theory has been that perhaps regular oil testing might be able to detect IMS bearing issues, or other engine issues. So far nothing to report, but happy to have the results of my annual Porsche blood test looking 'normal', and wanted to share the data in hopes of informing more data-driven discussions. BTW the folks are Blackstone Labs are great to deal with - highly recommended.

YOU AIN'T DRIVING THE CAR ENOUGH!

Sorry. Lost it for moment.

But gee whiz, just 2500 miles a year?
Yeah, I know, I know, third car, off the road in the winter, blah blah blah. OTOH, I like to think of it as the best 2500 miles I drive all year!
The track car's UOA is getting BETTER. Apparently it is breaking into a new wear pattern (13 years of putt-putt, 2.5 years of 6k rpm WOT).
