Off to the Glen!

Leaving in a few hours for three days at the newly-paved Watkins Glen.

Have a blast - their new surface is great!

You very much get an almost new track to learn as number of corners changed in and of themselves.

More so in combination w/ the new FIA curbing [Cheez-It themed of course] plus many previous markers are gone.

The new surface is indeed very, very good in almost all ways --- a first class job.

That said, I foudn it to drive "differently but its still the Glen". The biggest differences are the lack of markers ( but i always "paint" a visual line and use reference points less than many), and playing the "grip game". In the wet its a whole new animal, you need not play "hopscotch the sealer". And we had plenty of rain.

We're going out to Utah for the Ford racing school in a few weeks so we cut back on a few driving events this year.
