Hi Folks,

I have one torn dust shield on a piston on one of my calipers (2000,S, red).

Does anyone with BTDT experience have any tips on replacing them?
I dont need to rebuild the calipers, just replace some or maybe all of the dust shields.

One reason i ask is that i could not even get ht mostly good boot/shield to re-seat itself, and at least two other have pulled away from the base and dont seem to "lock" in any way. So there's more to this than i know. Of course, this is working with them stillon the car and spending very little time, to be honest,

TIA,

Grant
(off to palmer later today)

...that I don't recall any specifics about exactly how they "seat" into position. I think it was just a push-and-force friction fit.

I did see a thread elsewhere recently that mentioned an aftermarket product that did NOT fit correctly, and therefore recommended to just get the OEM parts.
thanks.
