Products for your Boxster, Cayman and Carrera.
Boxster / Cayman take quite a drop.

In part, it could be lack of supply with the 718 Cayman not yet available. With prime convertible season here in Ontario, most of the dealer 718 Boxster inventories has stayed pretty static. Seems the flat for turbos aren't accelerating off dealer lots too quickly.

Even lightly optioned Boxsters will be going for the $70,000+ range. Think there might be a psychological barrier with paying that much for a four banger, which is territory dominated by econoboxes. Sales may pick up, but it could take a fairly long time as people digest the concept and see that it is still a great car. It happened in the '70s when eight cylinders became a thing of the past. Many cars died because of it.

By model, they were down or flat, with the exception being the Macan which showed significant improvement.

In related news:
"Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales in the U.S. were 1,426 for July 2016, which is an increase of 13.7 percent compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date CPO sales are 9,792 vehicles, which is an increase of 21.9 percent over 2015."

Now, you don't suppose this increase in CPO car sales came at the expense of new car sales, right? smiling smiley
