A guy periodically brings a converted 914 with a small-block to autocrosses.
Its nicely done, and features subtle badging - "914/8". Nice.

He had great difficulty keeping it pointed in the proper direction....but it must have been a blast

Last year when visiting Las Vegas I stopped in at Renegade Hybrids. They do LS motor conversions on Porsche cars. I saw a 911 and a Cayman that had the conversion done. They looked like they came from the factory that way. The LS motor is a smaller package than the Ford so from the outside the only way to tell is when the thing starts up.
