So I decided just to get an Autozone AGM battery. This battery doesn't seem to need venting, but has plugs on each side where you can vent the battery. The instructions say that you can unplug those caps and install a vent tube if your car has a venting system. Otherwise, just install the battery. My old battery in the pic below has a tube that fits right over the nippled vent on the battery. The new one in the lower pic only has the plug. Should I bother to install the vent tube or just install the battery as is? From what I've read, an AGM battery doesn't need to vent. Thanks in advance!

... as the battery gets charged by the alternator it generates corrosive gases that if not vented out will cause corrosion.

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna
Ok, thanks Pedro. Will install the vent tube.
