Took all that plumbing and those accessories off, and what do you know, there's a reasonable-sized motor left :-)
Dis-assembled the entire thing, except for breaking the block - heads apart, stuff bagged, most washed.
Next, while i sit in my office, my car becomes a tourist. Block off to Chicago (LN), Transmission to Erie, Colorado (gbox). Heads to machine shop (somewhere in NJ, you got a problem with dat?)
So far, i have not seen much to indicate any major damage or wear - although there's a little evidence (on the piston crown) of something that got crunched by one piston.
Another fun day not in the office.
