The Bently and 101 Projects books say that you cannot do a brake fluid flush yourself if you have a newer car with ABS and PSM. Pedro's instructions don't mention this, so I wonder whether it is OK to flush and bleed my car myself. I would love to hear from our oracle, Pedro.

... to bleed the ABS you need to have a Porsche System computer to activate the ABS pump.
But, the amount of fluid in the ABS is so small that we dismiss that step.
Go ahead and do your flush as you would normally without ABS.

the fluid will pass from the abs pump during normal ABS operation, so it is likely to be flushed the next time.

Beyond the Porsche computer, some hand held scan tools will allow you to activate the abs pump during hte bleeding cycle.
