The RainyDayMagazine crew has been attending the NY International Auto Show for almost a decade. We have seen a lot of changes with the cars, but the one thing that stayed the same was how well car companies treat the press... which is why we go on Press Day :-)
This year was no different. Volvo started the morning off right with a champagne toast of their 90th year. Of course, being an old hand at this, we no longer stand in line for the free "box lunch," but know which vendor has the best plated hot lunch...this year's winner was definitely the scallops and jumbo shrimp plate at the Infinity Cafe!!!
We don't know how, but we got on Porsche's VIP list...so we got a special badge for the open bar after the show. This is where they do a special unveiling for their dealers.

Kathleen, one of RainyDayMagazine's contributing editors, was not shy about jumping into a $230K (as shown, $150K base) Porsche GT3 right after the unveiling to test out the "driver seat!!!" The open bar had NOTHING to do with it....
