Forum please help. Broke the rear phillips clip off air filter housing while attempting to change the air filter on my 2010 987.2. Any advice ?

remove and glue? remove and get a used one out of a recycler (aka junkyard at thrice the price)?
Replace with K&N or such (I have reservations about them if not oiled perfectly, but its a factory made solution...)

I would place the screw slightly back of the broken tab (thought the air filter box and filter black surrounding the paper element)

I cant really visualize this. But I would likely fab something that would work. For instance, You might be able to use an aluminum band with holes drilled.
