Hello everyone, I have a 2006 Boxster base model with 95k miles. I am about to do an oil change. I live in Chicago, I read the manual and also called the local Porsche dealer I was told to use 5w40 Mobile 1, but when I tried to buy it the only one I found was the Mobil 1 5w40 turbo diesel. My question is can I use this oil for my boxster or should I use the Mobil 1 0w40?

I doubt it has been tested to ACEA A3/B4. And foaming is less na issue in diesels. While its probably "ok" for everyday use, i would not.
Use an A4 approved 0w40 or 5w40. Mobil1 0w40 is the factory fill.
