In 2011, I retrofitted the convertible top on my '99 Boxster with a glass rear window replacement top. The replacement was done by a reputable upholstery shop in Northern Virginia. This morning, I discovered that the glass window had separated from the top and fallen into the interior compartment. It appeared the window had literally come unglued from the soft top. I assume the extreme DC temps caused the adhesive to melt. Has anyone heard of this? Can the glass be re-glued, or is a replacement top required? Thanks much!
... is a GAHH top the the glass bonding is guaranteed for life.
There is no way to repair as a DIY. The bonding requires a specialized heat press.
Check with the shop that installed it.
Happy Boxstering

Great. Thank you. It was replaced in 2011. I'll check with the installer. Thanks again!
