Well I got the old gal running again and she is doing fine except it has just started to squeak when I drive the car. I believe it squeaks when the suspension moves and it is a little annoying. I only hear it when I am driving slow, which is not often. haha. I am thinking it is the suspension bushings, Am I on the right path or ...
Most of the time the suspension squeaks come from dried out ball joints in the control arms.
These joints have rubber dust seals that easily rip and allow their grease to escape and they dry out.
Sometimes injecting a little lithium grease will quiet it down for a while but replacing the arm is the real cure.
There are other points where it could squeak as well, such as the front’s upper bearing.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro
