Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna
At first I thought it's a custom color to match a classic 70s color, but the hat, flesh tone and calipers makes me think otherwise. It would be a nice color for Porsche to run.
I think it looks a lot like Meridian.
My comment was in reference to Motobob's picture. *NM*

Minus 40 degrees... Is that Fahrenheit or Celsius?
The clues that it's actually a red car are the desaturated elements: the washed out flesh tones, hair, and lips. As the picture appears to have been taken in strong sunlight, these features should be more strongly colored (note the sharp shadow on the pavement.) The exposure has preserved highlight detail, so it's not a case of lighter tones, like skin, being blown out. Also the relatively weak yellow of the hazard line and probably the woman's hat, which in reality might be a brilliant red, as would be the car. And those calipers... orange-brown calipers? The brake lens portion of the taillight is almost the same as the upper portion.
Motobob, are you out there?

I do not think anything was done with the picture but it was taken with a telephoto lens by a gentleman on top of a 2 story building from a distance....maybe that is affecting the photo and what you see.... Bob

is that first shot? I haven't seen hills that high in the parts that I've visited. Looks like a great road.

Nice shots of the cars. ...sigh. Spring is just around the corner. smiling smiley

Guenter,

I only said "Michigan" regarding the first two!! winking smiley

The picture with the hills is Colorado at a Boxster event some years ago. The image is by Gottfried, does anyone remember this event? According to the meta-data on the original image it was taken August 24th, 2001.
