I left my car at the shop where I had left a second key (with no remote). The next morning I got a call that they couldn't get into the car so I drove over and opened it with my remote key.

Since then I've tried turning the key in the door lock and clicking the remote without luck. Has anybody found this issue and is there a fix (other than to replace the door lock which I assume is my last step).
If the remote doesn't open any of the doors you could have either an immobilizer problem or a low battery. Check the battery first! :-)
The key is supposed to work in the door even when the car has no power. The hook that connects the tumbler to the lock mechanism has disconnected. You can take the handle off and reconnect it.

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna
