Yup, when I buy my retirement place, if I can add a charging system to the garage, a Taycan will be attached to the other end. of the plug. Hopefully, the current gasser will still be going strong and sitting in the stall next to it for those top-down days and/or longer road trips.
If I bought a Taycan, I would have to sell my retirement place, but the Porsche - Tesla battle shows that electric is here to stay, and represents a better future for tree-huggers AND speed freaks.
Acceleration and range are both inferior to the much cheaper Tesla S. The interior gets high marks though. But better not be to tall.

I hear a Tesla is headed for the Ring to see what numbers it can put down.
Not so clear cut

Ludicrious mode on the Model S has to be used sparingly to avoid damaging the car. If you ignore that and accept the risk, it still shuts you down as soon as it heats up. As such, I see it as a gimmick and not a true performance stat unless you're on the drag strip.
