It would be great if it is one of those options that can be turned on with software. I have the unlit icon visible on the speedometer. It appears that TPMS was optional 2005-2007.

So, does anybody know if this is an option that can be "turned on"?
If installed, it cannot be turned off.
Although Porsche invented it for the 959 in 1986, the US Congress was the one who mandated its use with the TREAD Act.

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna
So I assume its not installed and can't be made operational.
... sorry.

It's not like the old OBC that could be turned on with a PST-II.
TPMS requires RFID receivers and a TPMS module which was not installed unless it was ordered originally (2005 and 2006).
You can add aftermarket TPMS, but they won't tie into the car's systems.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro
