The article seems to be conflating Turkic and Turkish.

It would be good if the press was more consistent about pronouncing it "tie-kahn", as Porsche says it should be.

why do you say that? turkish is a turkic language, one of many. apparently there are 35 according to wikipedia.

The article only says that it's Turkish. Those two statements are not the same.

i think people were expecting it to be a derivative of a pepper because it was a baby Cayenne. They pulled the tiger thing out of left field on the pundits.

But, I guess that would make the explanation too simple.

Blitz (German for lightning) showing its quick acceleration and electric power.

The problem, I guess, would be to trying to explain why there was no thunder accompanying the Blitz.
